Essential Things to Remember When Making your Wedding Invitations

Wedding invitations are sent customarily two months before the wedding. Sending out the wedding invitations on time if one of the most important things to be taken care of in preparation for the wedding. Your wedding invitation offers a glimpse of what’s to come in your wedding. You have to pout much thought on your wedding invitation. Some people hire professionals to make their wedding invitations for them. If you are the frugal bride and you want to save some money, you need ample time to make your wedding invitations. What are the things to keep in mind when making your own wedding invitations?

·         Wedding reception details
It is a must to let your guests know when and where the wedding reception is. If the reception is somewhere which most people are not familiar of, it would be very helpful to include a sketch so that the guests can get to the venue on time and now waste hours driving around and looking for the correct place to go to.

·         Names of the guests
It is crucial that you get all the names of the guests correctly. It is a major sin for the names of the guests to be written incorrectly on the wedding invitations.

·         Sending out your wedding invitations
As mentioned earlier, it is customary to send the wedding invitations at least a month or two before the wedding. Your guests need enough time to clear their schedules, plan for what they will wear and of course, get a gift for the newlyweds. Most people also have busy lives and they might need to rearrange their schedule to be able to attend your wedding.

·         Specify the dress code
The dress code should be indicated on the wedding invitation so that your guests will know what is appropriate and what is not appropriate to wear during the ceremony and the reception.

·         RSVP
Couples send wedding invitations to a lot of friends and family, however, not everyone who has been sent wedding invitations attend the ceremony. It would be very helpful to include a small reply envelope so you can confirm who is coming and who is not. Indicate your number and email address on the initiation so that they will know how to contact you should they attend the wedding or not.

·         Writing style of your wedding invitations
A wedding is a solemn event even if it is held on the beach. Make sure that the wedding invitation is written in a formal manner.

5 Crucial Things to Remember When Planning your Wedding

Weddings are one of the most magnificent celebrations in life. It marks the end of being on your own and the beginning of a life shared with another person. A lot of women look forward to the day when they finally get married. Most women plan their weddings as early as during their teenage years. However, as the date of the wedding comes nearer, more and more women are driven crazy by the pressure and demands of planning a wedding. It might also be surprising to note that only 15% of couples who get married hire the services of a wedding planner. So, what crucial things should brides-to-be remember when planning their big day?
1.       Have a budget. This is one of the important things to consider when planning a wedding. Make sure that you have a budget set for the wedding and make a commitment to stick to the budget. Do not go over it. You should breakdown all the areas where you will spend money. Some of them are the wedding centerpieces, bouquets and floral arrangements, the wedding dress and that of the entourage, the catering service and of course the place where the reception will be held. Make a list of the things you will be spending money on and write a ballpark figure of the costs.
2.       Make sure you have all the marriage license requirements ready. The requirements will vary from one state to another so you need to ask. All your other planning will go to waste if you cannot even get married because you do not have all the necessary documents.
3.       Make sure to book the places where you will be having the ceremony and the reception. Plan everything with your groom and book the place ahead of time. Some brides get too caught up with other things that they forget to book the venue of the reception and ceremony.  Make sure to brainstorm the reception ideas with friends. It may be too tiring to do it all alone.
4.       Do not forget to send out your invitations. If you are going to be making your very own invitation, be sure that you have enough time to make it. There are plenty of ideas for wedding invitations on the Internet and as a matter of fact we will also be sharing some ideas for wedding invitations right here.
5.        Remember to hire a photographer so that your wedding will be professionally documented. You have the option of commemorating this event through photos and videos.
It is extremely crucial that you take care of all these things and all the nitty gritty details at least two weeks before the wedding so you can be relaxed on your wedding day and not turn into bridezilla.
